Missio ad Gentes
PLYMOUTH

Who are we?
The Missio ad Gentes is a new form of evangelization inspired by God to the Neocatechumenal Way to announce the Good News in poor and secularised areas where there is hardly anything left of the Catholic Church.
Confronted with the challenge of evangelizing in these places, the words of Pope St John Paul II show a way forward "We must return to the initial apostolic model".
In imitation of this first model the Missio ad Gentes does not begin in sacred buildings, but rather meet in their homes. Thus constituting a real "court of the gentiles in which men and women can come closer to God without knowing Him", as Pope Benedict XVI indicated.
The Missio ad Gentes are created at the request of the bishops of the dioceses to which they are destined and are made up of several families with their children, a presbyter, a young man and two women. Together they form a community that has the mission of making the beauty of the Gospel visible in the world once again.
